1. Reminder of gravity furnace lining materials. First, cover the crucible mold with asbestos cloth or furnace cover, leaving only one vent hole, so that the entire furnace lining can be heated evenly, so as to facilitate the overall sintering.
2. It takes 2 hours to slowly heat the furnace to 600 degrees Celsius, keep it here for 1 hour, and then slowly heat the furnace to 1000 degrees Celsius, which takes 2 hours, and keep it here for 1 hour.
3. After the furnace temperature is naturally cooled to room temperature, step on the furnace mold with your feet, lightly hit the furnace with a hammer to make it vibrate and have a gap with the furnace wall, then slowly take out the furnace mold.
4. Check whether the furnace wall has fallen off. If it falls off slightly, it can be repaired by adding glass water and water to the furnace lining material. If it falls off seriously, it means that the furnace wall is not tight enough, and the furnace needs to be rebuilt.
5, Put the iron blocks into the furnace densely by hand.
6. The furnace must be fully sintered, and the liquid level should be about 100mm away from the furnace mouth, so as to facilitate the overall sintering.
7. In the first furnace, the acid lining material is slowly heated and melted, and kept at 1580 degrees Celsius (±20 degrees Celsius) for half an hour.
When the molten iron temperature is greater than 1500 degrees Celsius, the temperature is generally monitored every 10 minutes.
Start charging when the initial charge is melted to about 30%.
Each feeding should be carried out before the last feeding is not completely melted, be careful not to cause the phenomenon of shedding, and continue feeding until the furnace is full.
8. The occurrence of hanging material during the smelting process should be dealt with in time:
a During the smelting process, the material should be added carefully, and the furnace condition should be observed to avoid the phenomenon of hanging material.
b The temperature of the molten metal in the molten pool under the hanging material is too high, which can cause the furnace lining to be rapidly ablated, and there is a danger of explosion at any time.
c After the material hangs, the power supply should be reduced to 25% of the insulation power to prevent the molten metal from overheating.
d At this time, the furnace body must be tilted to make the molten metal contact the hanging material and melt a hole.
Turn the furnace body back to the upright position and feed through the holes so that the molten metal is in contact with the overhang and melts. Note: Do not overheat the molten metal during this step.
