Method for prolonging service life of intermediate frequency furnace lining

extendIntermediate frequency furnace liningThe service life is very important to the safe and economical operation of the intermediate frequency furnace. The editor will introduce the method of extending the service life of the intermediate frequency furnace lining from the aspects of charge, furnace construction, oven, use, testing, repair and so on.

1. Select the corresponding furnace lining material according to the pouring temperature and properties of the molten iron.

2. The furnace lining should be rammed to a density of more than 2.3g\/cm3. It is strictly forbidden to smoke and carry sundries into the operation site when building the furnace.

3. Before building the furnace, the coil coating and the upper pouring block should be dried first, and it should be checked whether the leakage current of the coil is below the allowable range.

4. In principle, the baking and sintering should be started immediately after the furnace is built, and it should not be placed for a long time.

5. Check the correctness of the size of the crucible steel mold, whether there is an acute angle in the conical part, and if necessary, it should be ground as a whole. Whether the positioning of the mold in the furnace is correct.

6. When the furnace lining has not been sintered, and the molten iron is still melting, try to avoid unnecessary tilting of the furnace body to prevent damage to the furnace lining. The sintered furnace is recommended to run continuously so that the sintered layer of the furnace lining can be formed with sufficient thickness and mechanical strength.

7. Try to remove the slag in time, especially after high temperature overheating (the time is before raising the molten iron temperature to the pouring temperature).

8. Maintain a high liquid level of the metal to be used, so that the erosion of the furnace type is uniform, and the low temperature (1300-1350 degrees Celsius) is maintained before pouring to shorten the time when the furnace lining is in a high temperature state.

9. The furnace should be continuously operated in 3 shifts as much as possible to avoid the furnace lining often being subjected to thermal shocks.

10. When the furnace is out of use, cover the furnace cover, reduce the amount of cooling water, and let the furnace lining cool slowly to avoid the rapid thermal shock of the furnace lining. 11. When there is only a small amount of molten iron in the furnace, high-power operations should be reduced.

12. The molten iron for the new furnace lining should be less and more material added. First, 1-2 packs of molten iron should be poured out and then melted, and then the amount of molten iron should be gradually increased. It cannot be empty at one time.

13. As far as possible, remove the molding sand and other sundries bonded on the surface of the returned charge, and reduce the proportion of the charge with severe corrosion.

14. Shorten the holding time of the furnace lining at high temperature.

15. Keep the casting temperature as low as possible within the allowable range. For every 10 degrees Celsius reduction in the casting temperature, the life of the furnace lining can be increased by 10%.

16. To avoid overheating of the furnace material, the charging should be reasonable.

17. When the charge is preheated, the preheating temperature should be lower than 600 degrees Celsius.
