1. Corrosion at the bottom of the furnace

In the normal use of the furnace lining, the thickness of the furnace lining and the thickness of the furnace bottom will gradually become thinner due to the circulation erosion and corrosion of the molten iron in the long-term use. The intuitive situation is the addition of the furnace capacity. Generally, the furnace lining is corroded by 30- At -50%, it will be destroyed from the beginning and a new furnace will be built.

From the analysis of the entire furnace lining, the place where the erosion is significant is the slope position where the furnace bottom and the furnace lining are combined. Generally, the thick furnace lining at the slope part has been eroded after a long time of use. The material is almost on an arc surface with the furnace lining material, and even a thin depression appears in the soil where the furnace bottom material and the furnace lining material are combined. Getting closer and closer to the electric furnace coil, and affecting the safety of use, it is necessary to re-build the furnace. The reasons for the depression of the furnace lining are not only due to the density of the quartz sand when building the furnace, but also related to the chemical melting of the charging material in our use. Corrosion is associated with mechanical corrosion during operation.

2, the integrity of the furnace lining

The integrity of the furnace lining refers to the iron infiltration and cracks that often occur in the furnace lining. In our production, there are often weekend shutdowns. When the electric furnace is empty and stops melting, the furnace lining will gradually cool down, because sintering The final lining material is a brittle material, so under the effect of thermal expansion and cold contraction, the sintered layer inevitably cracks, and the crack damage is very large, which will cause the molten iron to enter the lining material and cause leakage.

In terms of maintaining the furnace lining, the finer and denser the cracks are and the more evenly distributed, because only in this way can the cracks be bridged to a large extent when the furnace is cold-started, and the furnace lining can be restored to a good sintering level. In order to reduce the crack propagation, we should pay attention to: avoid the lining material sticking to slag, the influence of excessive temperature on the furnace lining material, the cooling of the furnace lining material, and the surface inspection of the furnace lining material is often carried out.
