Regarding the research on breathable bricks, people generally pay attention to the resistance to melting loss of core bricks, resistance to penetration of molten steel, blow-through rate and other issues. The performance of the matching seat brick is relatively less considered. (1) High temperature corrosion resistance
The refining ladle is very strict in terms of temperature and time, and the highest temperature often reaches above 1750 degrees Celsius. During the refining operation, the basicity of the slag has a great influence on the life of the refractory material. The basicity of the ladle refining slag is about 0 . 6 - 0.4, so the refractory material is eroded by acidic slag and alkaline slag with strong permeability at high temperature, and the damage rate is fast.
(2) High temperature wear resistance
Various ladle refining methods have adopted forced stirring, which is very serious for high temperature wear of the bricks.
(3) Peeling resistance
Due to the intermittent operation, the temperature changes greatly, it is easy to produce thermal spalling and structural spalling, and the use conditions are very harsh. There is a large gap between the performance of the currently used ladle permeable bricks and the performance they should have. In terms of high temperature erosion resistance and spalling resistance, especially spalling resistance needs to be improved.
